In addition to the main dining room, the ship features this up-charge steakhouse, in a curtained off section of the main dining room portside on Deck 8. Since we were hosted by the cruise line on this Margaritaville at Sea inaugural cruise, we were told that there was no booking number. As cruisers with 50+ sailings under our belts, that did not seem right to us.

We noticed this particularly during the evening show, a jukebox musical of Buffett hits written by Jimmy himself. While some passengers enthusiastically sang along, fins up, other people smiled and tapped their toes, but clearly didn't know the words. In addition to the Tiki Bar, other new bars and lounges include the central lounge in the Flip Flop Atrium serving signature cocktails. Ocean-inspired cocktails will be on the menu in the aquarium-themed Coral Reef Lounge and hand-crafted drinks will be served in the intimate Hemisphere Dancer Craft Spirits Bar. You can choose from two or four days at the partner resorts, either the Viva Wyndham or Grand Lucayan. One way you can tell that Margaritaville at Sea Paradise is not a new ship is by its deck plan and layout. Some of the areas of the ship, such as the Port of Indecision buffet, show their age by being more cramped than what you'd expect on newer vessels.

This seemed like a strategic way to get guests to buy from the other dining places, which were open until midnight. As a Parrothead, I naturally fell in love with seeing the Margaritaville branding placed onto a cruise ship. I would absolutely book my own Margaritaville cruise, and plan on doing so. However, I am not sure I would bring my little parakeet with me, and would perhaps do so as a much-needed parents’ getaway. If I were to bring my son aboard Margaritaville At Sea Paradise this would probably be the way we’d do it.

The spa is relatively small, but still offers quite a few ways to relax and pamper yourself. After sailing onboard the Paradise the first time, I was intrigued to see how Margaritaville At Sea had improved since 2022. It was our honor to be hosted onboard by Margaritaville at Sea, and while we were invited onboard, all of these opinions are genuinely my own.

We never received an announcement, so we sat in our room waiting until we went to check on the queue ourselves. To be fair, the process may have gotten a bit smoother since our early sailing, but I found the entire disembarking process I experienced to be highly disorganized.

Other options included a pizzeria, an ice cream shop, a steakhouse, and a bar and grill. The food was pretty good, but I wish more options were included. There is also a Margaritaville Coffee Shop located towards the center of the ship. As you might imagine, this coffee shop is quite popular in the morning, but also serves up specialty coffee throughout the day.
Typically, we would unpack at this point, but given this was a very short cruise, we just lived out of our suitcases for the two days. It seems like a natural fit for Margaritaville to have its own cruise line. After all, cruising delivers good food, plenty of entertainment, and island vibes.

Because it was included, I said yes to dessert and had a creamy, tangy lemon meringue tart. You could keep costs down by cutting back on the add-ons or throw caution to the wind and go all-out. After all, you're on vacation — and at least this vacation doesn't consume too much paid time off.
Once you're in the Bahamas, shore excursions are extra and you will have to pay to take transportation from the terminal in Freeport to any attractions, as there is nothing within walking distance. One thing we found extremely appealing, especially for new cruisers, is that Margaritaville at Sea Paradise has no real dress code. There's no formal night, and you can wear shorts anywhere on the ship.
